S.O.S.: Sold Out Sam
Graves acting as a voice for Washington D.C. and Big Business
Polo, MO— Recently, five term Congressman Sam Graves reported his recent campaign contributions and once again, Graves shows that he stands for big business and out of state farmers, not the hard working Americans in the 6th District.
Graves took over $300,000 from special interest groups, big businesses, and big agro. Instead of fighting for small business owners, rural farmers, and teachers, Graves prefers to be in the pocket of Washington D.C. insiders. No wonder vote after vote supports the position of corporations and not the average middle class citizen.
Just last week, Graves voted against legislation that gives cut taxes for small businesses and incentives for people to open their own business. Could this be because Graves took $42,000 from the Financial Industry?
As a small business owner, Clint Hylton, Democratic candidate, knows the difficulties 6th District residents are facing. “Instead of lining my campaign coffers with big business,” said Hylton, “I will be fight for the hard working citizens of Missouri.”
Graves also took $4,000 from Texas Beef Cattle Feeders and California Dairy Farmers; why is Graves working with out of state farmers and not working for small farmers in Missouri?
As an owner of a small farm, Hylton promises to stand up for you and not special interests. “For me, fighting for the people of the 6th District is not political, it’s personal!” Hylton said.
The Democratic primary is August 3rd. The 6th District contains the counties of Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Caldwell, Carroll, Chariton, Clay, Clinton, Cooper, Daviess, De Kalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Howard, Jackson, Linn, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway, Platte, Putnam, Ray, Schuyler, Sullivan, and Worth.
